Texas needs to copy something that Arkansas has been doing for years, get rid of yearly inspections.

Since we live in Texarkana we know that Arkansas doesn't require yearly inspections.  Did you know that some states require an inspection for safety and emissions? Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Georgia, and Vermont are some of those states.

According to the site motorbiscuit

Generally speaking, motorists in those areas are required to do an emissions test every 2 years. These states include: Arizona, Delaware, Connecticut, Idaho, Indiana, Maryland, New Jersey, New Mexico, Ohio, Oregon, Washington, and Wisconsin.

Some areas in Texas require emissions testing as well. If you live in the Houston and Dallas area this is something you need to be concerned about. Did you know in Utah they require inspections when your car is 4 then 8 and 10 years old after that it will go up to being yearly. So in the state of Texas, they require a yearly inspection and it goes along with your yearly registration so at least there is only one sticker on the windshield of your car.

I really feel like the inspections are important but maybe Texas can find a way to incorporate everything into a sticker on the license plate. That way drivers will have a clear unobstructed view out of their windshield. Since I have lived in Arkansas I really appreciate the clean look to the front of my vehicles with no front license plate and no stickers on the windshield.
