The 8th annual Santa Sprint presented by the Texarkana Museum Systems will be Saturday, January 15. The event was rescheduled from last month.

The Santa Sprint will begin at the famous Ace of Clubs House located at 420 Pine Street at 8 am. The Santa Sprint is put on by the Texarkana Museum Systems and they had this to say about this great holiday fundraiser:

Our 8th Annual Santa Sprint is coming up fast! Wanna run a 5K where you get to dress like Santa and get to enjoy the sights of historic downtown? Then this is the race for you.

The Texarkana Museum Systems has partnered with 'Ainsley's Angels ' for this year's run. This is what the race organizers had to say about this partnership:

Ainsley's Angels aims to ensure everyone can experience endurance events, Ainsley's Angels aims to build awareness about America’s special needs community through inclusion in all aspects of life. We believe everyone deserves to be included!

If you would like to run in the race you can find out more information and get signed up online here. There will be an early registration at The Ace Of Clubs House at 7:30 am the morning of the 5k.

The 2020 County Health Rankings values were calculated using mortality counts from the 2016-2018 National Center for Health Statistics. The U.S. Census 2019 American Community Survey and America's Health Rankings Senior Report 2019 data were also used to provide demographics on the senior population of each state and the state's rank on senior health care, respectively.
