The most historic restaurant in Arkansas is... Jones' Bar-B-Q Diner. This restaurant is located in Marianna, Arkansas. Jones Bar-B-Q is also one of the oldest restaurants in Arkansas opening in 1910.

Why is Jones' Bar-B-Q so Special?

Not only is it over 100 years old it is also believed to be the oldest black-owned restaurant in America. The restaurant was started by the current owner's grandfather's uncle. So it's been in the same family since it opened

At Jones', there may not be a lot on the menu but what they do have is famous.  You can buy the slow-cooked pulled pork by the pound or in a sandwich with cole slaw on the sandwich not on the side.

What  Awards Has Jones' Bar-B-Q Won?

Jones' Bar-B-Q is also the first restaurant in Arkansas to receive the prestigious James Beard Award. It was named one of America's Classics in 2012. Now people come from all over the world for this Bar-B-Q.

In 2017 it was inducted into the inaugural Arkansas Food Hall of Fame
