There are jobs in which you get paid to travel and drink wine, and then there are jobs like this.

If you get a spare moment today look around you. Take in the items around you. Right now, I'm looking at a speaker next to the computer that I'm working on. Someone made that or someone designed the machine that made that. And they got paid for it (hopefully). There are so many different jobs out there that sometimes I think we forget.

There are jobs people are truly passionate about. Jobs that make a difference in the lives of those around us. Jobs that pay way too much for the little effort that go into them. I want that job!

And then there are the weird jobs.

These jobs can be off-putting, physically demanding, smelly... or just odd. Recently 24/7 Wall St. looked at the weirdest jobs across the nation, scanning "job listing sites, online databases, and occupation data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics." Although one man's weird job may be another's dream job, the website was still able to name the "Weirdest Job in Every State."

For Arkansas that job is a "Log grader."

Now, I'm not entirely sure what this person does, but I'm sure it has to do with the quality of wood that is being sent off to lumber contractors. CareerPlanner.com says a log grader is used to "evaluate log characteristics and determine grades, using established criteria." Those logs that don't meet the mark are then sent back to shippers who will regrade and recut them. A Google search says starting salary is about $30,000-$40,000.

As for Texas, the weirdest job is a "Marketing unicorn." Obviously this company is just looking for a diamond in the rough who can do it all! But for real, who doesn't want to be a unicorn?
