Texarkana Walk to End Alzheimer’s Set to Kick Off Thursday at Spring Lake Park
Do you or someone you know have a loved one suffering from Alzheimer's, or maybe you know someone who lost a loved one to the horrible disease? Then, don't miss this event as organizers officially kick off this year’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s campaign.
The “Nacho Ordinary Walk Kickoff” will be this Thursday, June 4, at 5 PM at the Spring Lake Park Pavilion, located at 4303 N Park Road in Texarkana, Texas. Stop by to enjoy nachos and lemonade while learning more about this year’s walk and its impact on families affected by Alzheimer’s disease.

I walked last year with a childhood friend. We both lost a parent to this awful disease, and I also lost a brother to it. If you've experienced the same loss, then you know how heart-wrenching Alzheimer's is. Here is your chance to be a part of something big and help bring more research as we all 'Walk to End Alzheimer's'.

The kickoff event is a great opportunity for individuals, businesses, churches, and community groups to register teams, add participants, and begin fundraising efforts. By getting started early, teams will have plenty of time to build support and help raise funds for Alzheimer’s care, support programs, and research.
