Like most people, I am a huge dog lover. I do prefer a big dog, but I was curious, what is the most popular dog breed in Arkansas?

As we look through our social media feeds we tend to see some of the more popular breeds in our area. My Instagram has folks with Labrador Retrievers, Rottweillers, and French Bulldogs as well as the occasional Australian Sheppard.

When it comes to national trends the Labrador Retriever is number one followed by the German Sheppard and the Golden Retriever comes in at number three. These three have dominated the study for the last 29 years but what about the most popular in our areas like Texas and Arkansas?

Texas, it's all about the big dogs. According to Reader's Digest, here are the top three dogs in the lone star state.

When it comes to the Natural State, Arkansan's have the same taste as Texans when it comes to their dogs with one exception.
