What’s Arkansas’ Favorite Christmas Cookie? What About Texas?
One of my favorite memories as a child around Christmas time was helping my mother decorate Christmas cookies. We had sugar cookies shaped like bells and Christmas Tree Anise cookies made from an old family recipe. Now, thanks to the internet and Google Trends we know what the favorite cookies are by state, including Arkansas and Texas.
Not only will we find out what types of cookies are the most popular but I also included a recipe for each type of favorite cookie from Texas, Oklahoma and Arkansas. The biggest surprise in this list is Texas but then again maybe not. You'll understand that statement in just a minute.
Oklahoma's Favorite Christmas Cookie
Christmas Cookie Fudge, which isn't a cookie but it's good! Basically, it's fudge with a sugar cookie flavor. I don't think you can go wrong with this and it looks easy to make! Check out the recipe below.
Texas' Favorite Christmas Cookie Flavor
Christmas Cookie Ice Cream. If you are from Texas then this is really no surprise because we do love our Blue Bell. The recipe for this one is, get in your car and find the nearest store with this Blue Bell flavor!
Arkansas' Favorite Christmas Cookie
Christmas Sugar Cookies! Yay for Arkansas for choosing a cookie for their favorite Christmas Cookie, unlike some other states...just sayin'. These are traditional and pretty easy to bake and always fun to decorate. The video below gives you some great tips and hacks like, making a good flat cookie that's best for decorating.
