There was just something magical and delightful about the movie, "Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory when it hit theaters in 1971, based on the children's 1964 classic novel.

The movie starred the late Gene Wilder and I can remember seeing the movie at the historic Perot Theatre, which during that time was known as the Paramount. When the movie was released stores around Texarkana including the theater was selling Wonka Bars. The re-booted newer version "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory," starring Johnny Depp hit the box office in 2005. Who could forget some of the most beloved characters like, Veruca Salt, Grandpa Joe, Charlie, Mr.Salt, and of course, Willy Wonka.
