Temperatures are going to start cooling off soon and that means that the Fall Movies in the Park Series will be here soon too. It is always so much fun to grab the whole family and head out to Spring Lake Park to see great movies in October.

Three movies are planned through the month of October. This is a family-friendly event as we celebrate the arrival of fall and the Halloween month.

 The Little Mermaid - Thursday, October 12

This is the 2023 Live Action adaption of the 1989 animated movie that brings this classic story to a new generation. Ariel is a mermaid princess who is fascinated with the human world. IMDb states,

 Ariel visits the surface and falls for the dashing Prince Eric. Following her heart, she makes a deal with the evil sea witch, Ursula, to experience life on land.

This new version is rated PG and stars Halle Bailey, Jonah Hauer-King, Javier Bardem and Melissa McCarthy.

 The Addams Family 2 - Thursday, October 19

IMDb says,

Morticia and Gomez distraught that their children are growing up, skipping family dinners, and totally consumed with "scream time." To reclaim their bond they decide to cram Wednesday, Pugsley, Uncle Fester and the crew into their haunted camper and hit the road for one last miserable family vacation.

 

The Town That Dreaded Sundown - Thursday, October 26

This is a classic, especially in our area and it is a must to see it every year!
All the movies will begin at dusk at Spring Lake Park across from the airplane on the stationary stage. There will be concessions available for purchase and don't forget to bring a blanket or lawn chairs and enjoy these great movies brought to you be the Texarkana Texas Parks and Recreation Department!
