Due to the threat of rain, the Taste of Jefferson coming up this Sunday, October 22 from 12 till 3PM has been moved inside so everyone can still have a great time, great food and much less wet.

There's nothing like some good candy and a fun Halloween-ish movie to watch, outside... and that's exactly what you can do this Thursday night in Spring Lake Park for "Movies In The Park", brought to you by the Texarkana Texas Parks and Recreation Department.

Decades Rewind is coming to the historic Perot Theater in downtown Texarkana on October 28, 2018 at 7:30 pm. Decades Rewind is a national touring concert, dance party and theatrical performance wrapped in one amazing show that features the hits of the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s.

We heard from Sheila Cook at Workforce Solutions Northeast Texas about a great opportunity for those seeking a new job, it's called "Hiring Red, White & You! Statewide Hiring Fair." The date has been finalized for Thursday, November 9 from 10AM - 2PM at the Texarkana Convention Center at 4610 S. Cowhorn Creek Road.

Family traditions are important, aren't they? In some families dad always carves the turkey for Thanksgiving right at the table in front of the whole family. In other traditions, some families will go out and cut a fresh Christmas tree every year, family vacations are considered by some to be a tradition, or eating at least one meal a week without any electronics at the table... then, there's us.

This is by far one of my favorite events we do in Texarkana each year, the Taste of Texarkana is coming up at the Four States Fair Entertainment Center on Tuesday, October 17 from 5 - 7PM. Despite the rumors, it's not one of my favorites simply because of the annual father and son photo with the Hooters girls. Not true.

You read that right, $1 margaritas during the month of October at participating Applebees all over the country, and yes, we have confirmed that the Texarkana location is one of them.

You know the old jokes about Louisiana gumbo, pick up anything and toss it in the pot, spice it up just right and serve it over rice and that's called gumbo. For some Louisiana cooks that may be pretty close to the truth, however, this weekend we get to learn how it's really done at the world famous Bridge City Gumbo Festival all weekend long.

You know how I am when it comes to vintage WWII-era warbirds, if they are nearby, Jim wants to be there. Unfortunately, I can't be there this weekend as we are getting ready to move into our new house next week, but if you can make it to Wings Over Dallas this weekend, please share your pics ok?
