11 Mile Hike Very Much Worth It [VIDEO]

Seriously, one the hardest things I have done in a long time! 

While at Hale Scout Reservation last week with Troop 3, our troop leader, his son, my son and I all decided it would be a great idea to be a part of the "11 mile hike". It happens to be a requirement toward the Camping merit badge for the boys, and frankly I just wanted to see if I could do it. I mean really, how long can 11 miles be anyway?

When it's mostly uphill, 11 miles seems like a very long way indeed. Oh, and on the sheer pain factor, down hill sucks even more!

But it sure was purdy!
