The 113th annual State Fair of Louisiana will be held, Oct. 24-Nov. 10, at the Louisiana State Fairgrounds in Shreveport.

The State Fair of Louisiana hosts the largest livestock show and carnival midway in the state, with nightly free concerts by popular performers, a variety of festive food vendors, the LRCA Finals Rodeo on Oct. 31-Nov. 2, and lots of family-friendly attractions, exhibits and activities. The State Fair of Louisiana is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.

This year’s free concerts include: Frank Foster and Sam Williams, Saturday, Oct. 26, 7 p.m.; Gospel Mega Fest, Sunday, Oct. 27, 3-9 p.m.; DJ Unk, Yung Joc and Baby Bash, Saturday, Nov. 2, 7 p.m.; and The Bigg Robb Show with Cupid and The Dance Party Express Band, Saturday, Nov. 9, 7 p.m. Fiesta at the Fair, an annual celebration of Latin cultures in Shreveport-Bossier, will be held on Sunday, Nov. 3, with live music from Los Tigrillos, La Internacional Furia Colombiana de Chon Aruaza, Los Ligaditos, and more, 3-10 p.m.

Featured free attractions at the 113th annual State Fair of Louisiana include the State Fair Zoo, Circus Hollywood, the Paul Bunyan Lumberjack Show, Hollywood Racing Pigs, Kenya Safari Acrobats, and the Magic of Bob Bohm. These performances and many others will be presented daily and are included free with State Fair admission. In addition to a long list of free attractions and performances, visitors to the State Fair can enjoy wandering street performers, food vendors, helicopter rides, the LRCA Finals Rodeo, and much more.

Regular admission to the State Fair of Louisiana is $12 and parking is $5, but a variety of money-saving discounts and free admission opportunities make it easy for visitors to save money. On Wednesdays through Fridays, 10 a.m. until 3 p.m., admission and parking are free. On “$2 Thursdays,” gate admission, parking, and rides are only $2 each. On Wednesdays, admission is only $5 and carnival ride armbands are only $20.
