There is something really special about Carmela's Magical Santa Land in nearby Longview, Texas. It's most definitely worth the 90-minute drive from Texarkana to witness nearly 4 million sparkling and twinkling lights of all kinds.

Even Clark Griswold would be jealous of this huge display of lights, displays, and holiday-themed areas all showcasing the beauty of the Christmas season. The best part about Carmela's Magical Santa Land is that it is absolutely FREE to Drive-thru this wonderland of lights nearly a mile long. However, donations are greatly appreciated because through your generosity they are able to keep this event up and running every year. Carmela's features dancing trees, Mickey Mouse, a nativity scene and so much more. Something new this year is a walking trail in the parking lot complete with food vendors.

According to their Facebook page, Carmela recently had an accident that required surgery she is on the mend now, and thanks to everyone for their love, prayers, and support. Carmela's Magical Santa Land is a family tradition that not only she shares with her immediate family but the love she has for the community she lives in. We wish her a speedy recovery and best wishes going forward.

At the end of your journey, kids can visit Santa Claus in the gift shop where you can indulge in delicious samples of fresh fudge and cookies, and shop for one-of-kind ornaments,  t-shirts, and unique gift items.

Carmela’s Magical Santa Land in Longview, Texas is open from 5:30PM until 10PM Sunday through Thursday, and 5:30PM-11PM Friday and Saturday now through January 4, 2020.
