5 Arrests Made in Assault on Texarkana Police with Fireworks, More Arrests Coming

Several arrests have been made for the assault on police officers back on Monday, July 4. Texarkana Police were called to a residence in Texarkana Arkansas after a concerned person called about several people shooting fireworks at people. 

The incident, injured several officers and one was hospitalized. The Texarkana Arkansas Criminal Investigation Division was investigating the crimes. Then on Friday, July 8, 2022, police issued felony warrants for nine individuals.

According to a press release from the TAPD, some of these individuals are juveniles, and some are young adults. Each one of the individuals will be charged with: Aggravated Assault X 9 Counts, Battery in the 2nd Degree Engaging in Violent Criminal Group Activity, Terroristic Act, and Criminal Mischief in the 1st Degree with Damages Over $1,000 but Under $5,000.

The Patrol Division has now arrested three juveniles and two adults. The adults arrested: Anthony Biddle, a twenty-five-year-old male from Texarkana, Arkansas, was booked into the Miller County Jail.

And Gary Carson, a twenty-six-year-old male from Texarkana, Texas was booked into the Bi-State Jail.

All three of the juveniles were booked into the Miller County Juvenile Detention Center.

Police are still looking for two juveniles and two adults with active felony warrants for their arrests.

The two adults are Tavree Green, a 19-year-old male from Texarkana, Arkansas.

and Irijah Price, a 21-year-old male from Texarkana, Arkansas.

The Criminal Investigation Division expects to issue more felony warrants for individuals involved in the July 4th assault against officers.
