The 7th Annual Hillier Community Health Fair is scheduled for Saturday, August 3, from 9AM to Noon at the Faith Assembly of God, 2001 Arkansas Blvd.

This health fair provides for the needs of families who are preparing their children for school by furnishing backpacks filled with school supplies, Kindergarten physicals, eye exams, haircuts, dental hygiene supplies, groceries, and more. This health fair also services senior citizens with free screenings, blood pressure checks, social security information and groceries.

In the past 6 years this event has serviced more than 24,000 individuals and has even provided connection for job placement for those who have attended.

This free event is named after Marguerite Hillier who was an educator in the Arkansas School System for 42 years. Ms. Hillier had a vision to help this city by sending students off to a great school year equipped with supplies, a back pack and a fresh haircut. The Hillier Health Fair continues in her honor today as a Memorial to her many contributions for our community.

*Children must be present in order to receive a backpack. Come early for free hot dogs and chips.
