An Age Progression Photo of Missing Arkansas Girl, Morgan Nick [VIDEO]

An age progression photo created by the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children shows what Morgan Nick might look like today, two decades after her abduction from a Little League baseball field in Alma, Ark. And for the first time ever, the two children who were with Morgan that day speak out in a new video produced by the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children.  It’s all part of a nationwide effort to highlight long-term missing cases.“The amazing recovery of Jaycee Dugard and the three Cleveland women show us that now, more than ever before, long-term missing children can be recovered safely, even decades after their disappearance,” said Linda Krieg, NCMEC acting CEO. “Along with Morgan’s family, we‘ll never stop hoping for her safe return and searching for answers.”

In recent years, NCMEC says more than 40 children have been recovered after being missing for more than 20 years.

At 10:45 p.m. on June 9, 1995 in Alma, Ark., 6-year-old Morgan Nick was abducted from a Little League baseball game by an unidentified man. She was attending the game with her mother and had joined some friends to catch fireflies. Morgan was last seen standing near her mother’s car where she had stopped to empty sand from her shoes.

Another new element in the search for Morgan includes a statewide billboard campaign in Arkansas. The billboards feature the new age-progressed photo of Morgan and ask anyone who may have information to call NCMEC at 1-800-THE-LOST (1-800-843-5678).

It's amazing it's been 20 years since the disappearance of Morgan Nick, but her mother continues to hold on to hope and prayers and search for her daughter. What good parent wouldn't? I can't imagine what must go through a parent's mind in a crisis like this.

Additionally, Arkansas Attorney General Leslie Rutledge is set to host the fourth annual Never Forgotten – Arkansas Takes Action event on Wednesday, June 10, at Camp Robinson in North Little Rock. The daylong event was established to raise awareness of issues surrounding missing persons and recognize Arkansas’ missing children and adults.
