A&M-Texarkana to Host Wellness Fair Today, January 30th
Texas A&M University-Texarkana and the Program for Learning And Community Engagement (PLACE) will host the 2020 TAMUT Wellness Fair today, Thursday, January 30th. This event will take place in Eagle Hall inside the University Center building from 10AM until 2PM. Like all PLACE events, the 2020 TAMUT Wellness Fair is free and open to the public.
According to a press release, more than 25 local businesses and organizations will be present at the wellness fair, where attendees can meet and visit with representatives from healthcare organizations, wellness centers, Yoga instructors, and nutrition experts.
PLACE is a faculty-led program designed to create a community of learners comprised of A&M-Texarkana students, faculty, staff and the community at large. PLACE chooses an annual theme around which to organize a lecture series and other activities that provide focal points for learning and discussion. This year’s theme is “Wellness, Happiness, and Mental Health.”
