Amity, AR Man Arrested on Child Sexual Abuse Material Charges
Arkansas State Police (ASP) have arrested a registered Level 3 sex offender on multiple charges related to possessing child sexual abuse material.
James Virgil Parks, 38, was taken into custody on February 11, 2025, following a search of his home on Mountain Home Road. The investigation stemmed from cyber tips reported to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC).
Special Agents with the Arkansas State Police Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force arrested Parks, who now faces 50 counts of Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM). Parks was booked into the Clark County Detention Center with his bond set at $250,000.
Apparently, Not The First Time:
According to the report, at the time of his arrest, Parks was on probation in Clark County, Arkansas for a 2022 conviction related to failing to report his address as is required for registered sex offenders.
Arkansas State Police continue to investigate the case.
As always, Parks is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
