Get Ready Ark-La-Tex, Big Weather Changes Next Week!
Are you ready for actual fall weather next week in Southwest Arkansas and East Texas? Do you know where your jackets and hoodies are? You might want to locate them and get ready because Halloween is going to be much cooler in the Ark-La-Tex than we have seen so far.
The National Weather Service is predicting that the cold front will get here on Sunday with overnight low temps dropping down into the mid-40s with a good chance of rain.
We're still looking at about a 40% chance of rain on Monday but the high won't get much above the mid-50s. Monday night's low will get down to about 40.
For Halloween day 2023, we're looking at mostly sunny skies after the rain moves on but the high only reaching about 51 degrees. During the spookiest night of the year expect an overnight low of 37.
The sun should fully return to the Ark-La-Tex by Wednesday of next week but the cooler temps will stay with us for at least a few days with highs in the lower to mid-50s, and lows ranging from the upper 30s to mid-40s.
Nothing too dramatic but definitely cooler than we have been seeing around here recently.
One good thing, after we get past the rain this weekend, it should feel much more like football weather.
