Arkansas State Fair New Curfew Rule This Year For Kids Under 18
The Arkansas State Fair in Little Rock is just around the corner but there is a new rule that will be in place this year for anyone under 18 years of age.
If you have a kid under the age of 18 the days of dropping your teen and their friends off at the fair for an evening of fun are gone. The new rule will not allow anyone under 18 to go into the fair after 6 PM without an adult who is at least 21 years of age.
Fair officials are not putting this rule into effect to punish the minors or their parents. The fair is a family-friendly event and this is a way to help keep it that way.
The new curfew on the Arkansas State Fair website states,
After 6:00 pm, everyone under the age of 18 is required to be accompanied by an adult (21 and older) to enter the fairgrounds.
We may ask for ID as proof of age. Anyone under 18 without ID who is not accompanied by an adult will not be admitted after 6:00 pm.
There are a couple of exceptions, if you are under the age of 18 and you are in the fairgrounds before 6 PM you might be okay, but fair officials reserve the right to remove any unaccompanied youth age 18 years and under from the fairgrounds after 6 PM.
The other exception is if you are a credentialed youth fair exhibitor, but you must be wearing a designated wristband.
The Arkansas State Fair opens on Friday, October 13 and runs through Sunday, October 22.
