Arkansas State Police Arrest Man For Alleged Road Rage Incidents
Arkansas State Police Troop A arrested a man last Monday, October 28 following reports of road rage.
The ASP arrested 39-year-old Asa Matthew Sarver of Hot Springs, on felony charges following two reported alleged road rage incidents that took place in late September. Sarver faces two counts of aggravated assault and two counts of obstructing governmental operations. He was then transported to the Pulaski County Detention Center.
First Incident of Alleged Road Rage Reported
The first incident occurred on Tuesday, September 24, just after 10 AM on Interstate 30 near Scott Hamilton Drive. A witness reported a white Ford F-150 driving aggressively and claimed the driver had pointed a dark-colored handgun at him.
Second Incident of Alleged Road Rage
The second incident came two days later, on September 26 around 10:15 AM. Another driver on Interstate 430 northbound reported a similar encounter. She said a white Ford F-150 tried to pass her at a high speed, made obscene gestures, and displayed a black handgun.
Both cases remain under investigation by Arkansas State Police.
Sarver pleaded not guilty to the charges on Wednesday, October 29, 2024. His next court appearance is scheduled for December 4, 2024.
