Arkansas State Police Seize Over 200 lbs of Illegal Marijuana
Earlier this month, Arkansas State Police made two major drug busts during routine traffic stops on Interstate 40, resulting in multiple arrests and the discovery of more than 200 pounds of illegal marijuana.
The first incident happened on Saturday, December 7, 2024, around 12:45 PM when state troopers pulled over a rented 2024 brown Jeep Grand Cherokee near the 101-mile marker for a traffic violation. During the stop, officers searched the SUV and found 119 vacuum-sealed, one-pound packages of marijuana hidden inside duffle bags throughout the vehicle.
The SUV’s two occupants, Willie Revish IV, 27, and Amber Murphey, 29, both from Virginia, were arrested and taken to the Conway County Detention Center. Revish faces multiple felony charges, including Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Using Another Person’s Property to Facilitate a Crime. Murphey was charged with felony Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
A similar traffic stop occurred a day earlier on Friday, December 6, 2024. Around 10:30 a.m., state troopers pulled over a black 2019 Chevrolet Malibu near the same location for a traffic violation. Upon searching the car, officers uncovered 120 pounds of marijuana packed in clear plastic bags.
The driver, Davian Blair, 31, of Oklahoma City, was arrested and taken to the Conway County Detention Center. Blair now faces felony charges for Possession with Intent to Deliver. According to police, Blair told investigators he was driving from Oklahoma City to Pine Bluff.
Arkansas State Police say these arrests are part of ongoing efforts to stop the transportation of illegal drugs across the state.
