2025-2026 Farmer's Almanac Winter Predictions for Arkansas
The 2025 edition of the Farmer's Almanac is all over the place, depending on what part of the country you live in. Overall, much of the country will be in something they are calling "Chill, Snow, Repeat."
Here in the South, over the last couple of years, we have had more snow than normal. This year, if you live in Arkansas, you can expect cold and wet winter conditions. Portions of Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana can expect the same thing.

According to the Almanac, with a more neutral La Niña than last year, there will be more up-and-down swings in temperatures, rainfall, and changing weather patterns across much of the region. I guess you could say Mother Nature will be somewhat moody this upcoming year. However, the polar vortex could send some frigid air and some snow deep into the United States.
Will the South Central Region Get Any Snow?
Farmer's Almanac Editor for USA Today says, "We don't see too much snow, but we're feeling like some of these more northern areas in this region may have icy rain and the cold conditions.

Overall, the region is expected to have normal winter conditions with nothing too extreme.
So, get your winter coats, boots, and hot chocolate ready, just in case, because you never know, living in the South, the weather can change at a moment's notice.
The season officially begins with the winter solstice on December 21, 2025.
