Cock-a-Doodle-Delicious! New Ice Cream Shoppe Opens in Texarkana

Texarkana, finally, something to crow about. Welcome, Blue Rooster Scoop Shoppe at 1201 Arkansas Blvd, a brand new ice cream store.

Owners Jason and Joana Johnston are proud to serve Texarkanians a cup or cone of goodness with fresh homemade ice cream made right in the store daily.

Blue Rooster Scoop Shoppe

Blue Rooster Scoop Shoppe is located next door to Old Tyme Burger Shoppe and will feature 12 amazing dairy flavors, 6 non-dairy flavors, and world-famous delicious Italian Ice with a variety of toppings for whatever you choose.

I sampled the Black Raspberry Cheesecake, which was mind-blowingly melt-in-your-mouth delicious.

The Johnstons also let me sample their mystery flavor, the Blue Rooster, which they wouldn't tell me the secret of its blend, but it was just as good.

Delicious Italian Ice

The Blue Rooster also serves delicious Italian Ice in several taste-tempting flavors such as sour watermelon, blue raspberry, lemon, cotton candy, natural strawberry, and a sugar-free green apple.

One of the unique things that The Blue Rooster Scoop Shoppe does is the "Scoop It Forward Wall,"  where customers can pay for a scoop or scoops, write a name or type of person on a cup, and place it on a shelf.
