He’s Back! A Bone-a Fide Celebrity Returns to Texarkana Neigborhood

What would Halloween be without a little spooky fun for a Texarkana neighborhood.

Welcome Back Bones the Skeleton in Texarkana

Bones the skeleton is back from the crypt! Mike Malone and his wife Cindy have been entertaining their neighbors and anyone passing by their home with a festive lively display of Bones every day through October.

Sure you can find skeletons in other yards but the Malones doesn't do anything scary they keep their display light-hearted and humorous. They have given Bones a personality that gives everyone that passes by something to smile about.

This family-friendly display has become such a tradition in Texarkana that people who don't live in the  neighborhood will drive by every day to see what Bones is up to. Changing the display out every day has become a work of art trying to come up with something different can be challenging.

Who's the Mastermind Behind Bones Display?

Cindy is the creative mind behind the displays while Mike is the builder and sets up each display you see until Halloween. Sounds like a true partnership because being a crypt keeper full-time is a serious business.  The Malones get up every morning at around 5:30 to change out the display and shuts it down by 7 p.m. to get ready for the next day.

Bones it can be challenging to come up with a different idea every day but in the end is all worth it especially if its able to make someone smile, said The Malones.

Besides this idea has given the Malones something to share with their family and grandchidren who live in three different time zones. The grandkids love seeing what their grandparents comes up each day through social media.

The local neighbors always ask if Bones will around during Christmas time. Mike always replies by saying, "Bones" only comes out during the month of October and then he returns back into the crypt until next year.
