63 Total Arrested Last Week in Bowie County, Texas

I guess it takes a little bad weather weekend to slow the criminal activity down around Bowie County and Texarkana. Sheriff Jeff Neal reports a total of 63 arrests last week in the county, 26 brought in by BCSO deputies, and 37 from other law enforcement agencies in the area.

Bowie County Sheriff’s Office Weekly Activity Summary

The Bowie County Sheriff’s Office responded to a wide range of calls and arrests throughout the week, highlighted by 21 warrant-related arrests, most of which involved probation or parole violations, bond surrenders, failures to appear, and holds for other agencies. Deputies also handled five assault cases causing bodily injury, including three family violence incidents reported in Texarkana and Maud.

Additional enforcement activity included three jail sanctions or commitment sentences tied to controlled substance and hindering prosecution offenses. Deputies investigated several other incidents during the week, including a felony theft valued between $2,500 and $30,000, indecency with a child, harassment, a building fire, suspicious circumstances, a reported dog bite, and a case involving the threat to publish intimate visual material. All cases remain under investigation as applicable.
