The Signed Affidavit From Bowie County Reads as Follows:
A. All outdoor burning is prohibited in the unincorporated areas of Bowie County with the exception of burning activities related to public health and safety authorized by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, and outdoor cooking only in enclosed pits or grills
B. An offense under this Order is a misdemeanor punishable by a fine of up to $500.
According to the Texarkana, Texas Fire Department's Facebook post, if you have a permit to burn in the city, it will not be valid again until the burn ban is lifted.
