The Black History Month parade will take place at the corner of East Broad and Hazel Streets, then over to Front Street before ending in front of the downtown courthouse. The theme of this year's parade is "We Are One, Education is Our Priority Too."

Parade co-chairman Anderson Neal Jr. recently spoke to KTAL-TV about the parade and said this year marks 34 years for the Texarkana Black History Month parade. So far, there are 34 entries, including a marching band, the Texarkana Steppers, cars, churches, and other civic organizations.
Parade participants are to gather in the parking lot of Beech Street Baptist Church at 12:30 PM to receive their parade entry number, then be instructed for lineup on East Broad Street. The parade gets underway at 2 PM, led by the Arkansas High School ROTC, and is expected to last about 40 minutes.
