Country star and De Queen, AR native Collin Raye is coming to Texarkana for a benefit concert Thursday, October 3 at the Sullivan Performing Arts Center at Texas High School.

In case you didn't know Bubba Raye as he is called by some of his friends graduated from Texas High School. This concert will benefit the Blessed Chair Foundation,  Runnin' WJ Ranch and Opportunities Inc.

The Blessed Chair Foundation is one that Collin Raye himself actually started in honor of his granddaughter Haley who passed away at nine years old due to an undiagnosed neurological disorder. The newly formed foundation is named from lyrics in the song “She’s with Me,” a song Collin wrote about Haley when she was still alive. Collin sings about her “Blessed Chair” which carried Haley everywhere with the family and which greatly improved the quality of Haley’s life. The foundation is for all children who suffer the same issues.

Five times nominated as country music’s Male Vocalist of the Year, Collin Raye has consistently used his stardom to advance social causes.

Don't miss multi-platinum recording artist Collin Raye, who has charted 23 Top-10 singles and 15 No. 1 hits, and sold twenty million albums worldwide. Collin Raye with his "That's my Story" tour has also just released a book by the same name.

So please pass the word along and help Collin Raye raise money for the Blessed Chair Foundation and see Collin perform all his hits at the Sullivan Performing Arts Center Thursday, October 3.

Here's a couple of my favorite Collin Raye songs.
