Country Artist Blane Howard Returns to Texarkana August 6
If you missed Nashville recording artist Blane Howard the last time he was in town, well, he's back. This Saturday, August 6, he will take the stage at Fat Jack's at 9PM.
The last time Blane was here he had everyone up and dancing with his mix of country, rock, blues, and pop. No matter what he sings or plays he does it with perfection. Blane may be a country artist but he and the band could sing the phonebook and entertain the audience.
Blane has always had a dream of pursuing a musical career so he followed that dream to Nashville where he met up with other talented musicians and put together a band. Not only can he sing, but he has become a seasoned songwriter who has written with other seasoned Nashville songwriters. Most recently Blane had the opportunity to open up for Granger Smith, the legendary John Berry and the band Exile. He also opened for Hunter Hayes in his hometown of Hot Spring, Ark., in June at Magic Springs. His resume speaks for itself playing the Arkansas State Fair and the State Fair of Texas in which he's just been selected to return again this year.
Blane is known for a song he wrote called "Arkansas Y'all" that placed second in a songwriting competition for Arkansas.com. The song represents the love he has for the state of Arkansas and for his beloved Arkansas Razorbacks. As a matter of fact, there's even a Razorback version of the song that has been played numerous times on game day.
I can attest that Blane is one of the most down-to-earth guys you'll ever meet and I personally invite everyone to come out and see this very versatile singer. I'll be there again to introduce Blane to the stage at Fat Jacks at 9PM.
"Bout Time" is the title track to Blane's original EP, which was released in January of 2013, and is a fan favorite along with “She’s a Mess” and “I’m Moving On." Blane released his first full studio album last summer titled Away We Go and featured the single "Friday Feeling." His newest single is "Crazy."
