I want to take this time to tell you about my friend Blane Howard. Many of you may have already heard of him and many of you may be hearing his name for the very first time. But lately, if you have been watching CMT chances are you've seen his newest video, "Promise To Love Her," a song he wrote for the love of his life, Megan. That song was not only a special moment in Blane's life but has fast become a love ballad for so many more weddings and engagements. The thought-provoking song was beautifully written by this native from Hot Springs, Arkansas with his rich baritone voice that sways somewhere between Chris Young and Randy Houser.

Nashville Recording artist Blane Howard just added the song to the 12 pack challenge on CMT Music and CMT.com; the single has over 40 Million streams and still climbing.

A graduate of Belmont University, Howard learned to sing just about every kind of genre imaginable with confidence. You know that old saying, "He can sing the phonebook" that's Blane Howard. I have always been a huge fan of not only his music but Blame's down-home personality, he's never let the spotlight go to his head, he always seems grounded and humble. Heck,  I still remember the first time that I met Blane we had lunch at Whataburger, his favorite place to eat because he said, they don't have them in Tennessee.

This talented singer-songwriter first came to be known for a song he wrote called "Arkansas Y'all" that placed second in a songwriting competition for Arkansas.com. The song represents the love he has for the state of Arkansas and for his beloved Arkansas Razorbacks. Through the years Blane has opened for some really big-time country music artists including, Blake Shelton, Josh Turner, Joe Nichols, Lauren Alaina, Trace Adkins, just to name a few.

Blane Howard has been pursuing his musical career for a long time and I am so thrilled he's finally getting some due, he deserves it. And he deserves to be on the country music charts too, because, in my opinion, he's as talented as any other singer out there today.

It's been about three years since Blane has been in Texarkana. It's time for a return my friend, you know you're always welcome.

Good luck with the CMT 12-pack Challenge!
