Ray Price has lost his battle with Cancer today at the age of 87. He died at his home in Mt. Pleasant surrounded by family and friends, according to family spokesman Bill Mack.

Price was first diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2011, and underwent chemo-therapy and radiation for it, but the disease spread to his lungs, liver and intestines. For the last few months Mr. Price had been in and out of hospitals with the cancer becoming more and more aggressive. Recently Price and his wife Janie of 45 years left the hospital and moved to his home with hospice care deciding not to continue treating the cancer and to let nature take it's course.

Before passing Ray Price left a message for his fans,

I love my fans and have devoted my life to reaching out to them. I appreciate their support all these years and I hope I haven't let them down. I am at peace. I love Jesus. I'm going to be just fine. Don't worry about me. I'll see you again one day."

His wife Janie thanks his fans for all of their love, support and messages and she wants to let Ray's fans know the best way to send a note is via their Facebook page, or mail a card to:
