Country music superstar Justin Moore will perform a free, live concert on the Walmart weigh-in stage at the Bank of the Ozarks Arena in Hot Springs on Sunday, August 23, at 4 p.m. The concert will take place prior to the final weigh-in of the world championship of professional bass fishing, the 2015 Forrest Wood Cup presented by Walmart.

Moore, the reigning Academy of Country Music New Artist of the Year, has always had an interesting way of negotiating the good ole boy/redneck reality that's defined today's hardcore country fan. A little bit rowdy, a little bit sentimental, a whole lotta roughneck, Moore has dented the country radio charts with three No. 1 hits in the anything but big city "Small Town USA," the sentimental family embracing "If Heaven Weren't So Far Away" and the fidelity pledge "Til My Last Day," in addition to the Top-10 mission declaration "Backwoods."

“What a way for the Hot Springs area to welcome home a young man who is moving toward legendary status in the world of country music – Justin Moore playing a free concert for the world championship of bass fishing just down the road from his hometown,” said Steve Arrison, Chief Executive Officer of Visit Hot Springs. “It is always great to see someone from our area achieve his dream. From Poyen, Arkansas, to the top of country music Justin Moore is someone we are all proud of and very excited to welcome back home!"

“We couldn’t be more excited to showcase Justin Moore to the thousands of bass fishing fans that will be in attendance at the 2015 Forrest Wood Cup,” said Patterson Leeth, FLW Vice President of Marketing. “Justin’s music is a natural fit with our audience, and we know that he will help us pack Bank of the Ozarks Arena.”

The Forrest Wood Cup presented by Walmart, the world championship of bass fishing, returns to Lake Ouachita and the Hot Springs, Arkansas, area August 20-23 to crown bass fishing’s top angler of 2015. Hosted by Visit Hot Springs, the tournament will feature 50 of the world’s best bass-fishing professionals and co-anglers casting for the sport’s biggest awards – $500,000 cash in the pro division and $50,000 cash in the co-angler division.

With this fishing championship on the line it would only be appropriate to put this video on here.
