Special Agents with the Arkansas State Police have been working along with the De Queen Police Department and the Sevier County Sheriff’s Department and now they have arrested two men from De Queen in connection with a September fire that investigators say was allegedly set intentionally.

Fire at Gentry Chevrolet in De Queen, Arkansas

The fire broke out on September 3, 2025, at Gentry Chevrolet in De Queen. Following an extensive investigation, authorities determined the fire was the result of arson. The case was investagated by several agencies, including ASP Company C, the Arkansas State Police Fire Marshal Section, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF). They all worked together to identify those responsible.

Arrests Made in De Queen, Arkansas

On Thursday, October 16, Special Agents executed arrest warrants for 27-year-old Trent Gentry and 39-year-old Charlie Moss, both residents of De Queen. The two men were taken into custody without incident and booked into the Sevier County Detention Center.

Facing Felony Charges For Arson in Arkansas

Both Gentry and Moss have been charged with alleged felony Arson in connection to the September fire. The investigation was a coordinated effort between local, state, and federal agencies. Authorities say the case remains active as investigators continue to review evidence and gather additional information surrounding the motive behind the fire. These men are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
