
Sign The Declaration: Unique Independence Day Event in Arkansas
America's birthday is this Friday, July 4, 2025, and what better place to celebrate our nation's Independence Day than at Historic Washington State Park, Arkansas.
Celebrate Independence Day
Guests can enjoy a patriotic, fun-filled day throughout the park with different activities and historical games on the 1874 Courthouse lawn. learn how to make a patriotic candle at the Candle Shop, and learn about some of the major news headlines in 19th-century Washington.
Before the day is done, visitors can enjoy a traditional Independence Day home-cooked meal for lunch in the historic Williams Tavern Restaurant.

Starting this Friday, July 4, through Sunday, July 6, hear an interpretation or a reading of our Declaration of Independence. Guests will be able to sign their own "John Adcock" to a copy of the Declaration that they can take home as a memorable moment of their day.

About Historic Washington State Park
Historic Washington State Park is a fully restored Victorian-style village open daily from 8 AM to 5 PM. Tours are available for over 15 historic sites and museums, such as the B. W. Edwards Weapons Museum and the Blacksmith Shop, where the infamous James Bowie knife was forged.
