It's almost the middle of July and by all indications this is going to be a long hot summer. However, nothing is more refreshing than cooling off with some good old fashioned ice cream. You can celebrate National Ice Cream Month with an Ice Cream Party at the Discovery Place Children's Museum in downtown Texarkana.

On Saturday, July 23, 2016 take the kids to the Discovery Place for some tasty ice cream. Admission is only $5 per person with Texarkana's Museum System members and children three and younger admitted for free.

Say it with me, "You scream, I scream, we all scream for Ice Cream."

While at the Discovery Place kids can play in a replica 1900 General Store and a 1920 kitchen. There is also a dress up room, puppet theatre and a special Tot's spot. The kids are going to love the one-of-a-kind interactive 12 foot sound wall and a performance of the 1,000,000 volt musical Tesla Coils. This show will shock you! Well, almost.
