Eagles Over Harbor at Lake Ouachita Feb. 24
I love Eagles! There's just something serene, mystifying, and majestic about the Bald Eagle. And every year around this time Mountain Harbor Resort and Spa on Lake Ouachita near Hot Springs is home to the Eagles Over Harbor. I mean, what's not to love about our National bird of prey!
This Saturday, Feb. 24, Mountain Harbor celebrates the Bald Eagle population around the lake with free barge rides and a free seminar. Don't be surprised if you don't see the eagles not only soaring over the beautiful lake but diving for fish in the prestine waters of Lake Ouachita.
Free Barge tours begin at 1PM, and anyone who wants to participate must make a reservation by calling 870-867-1211. If you would like to attend the free seminar hosted by Rusty Scarborough that gets underway at 10AM. Scarborough is the Senior Park Naturlist for Caddo Parish Parks and Recreation's Walter B. Jacobs Memorial Nature Park in Shreveport, LA.
With over 25 years of experience Rusty has hosted bird of prey programs throughout Arkansas, Missouri and Louisiana which has included falcons, hawks, owls and eagles.
So make plans to attend this very special weekend on Saturday, Feb. 24, on beautiful Lake Ouachita located 12 East of Mount Ida and 30 minutes from Hot Springs, Ark.
As the song says, "Fly Like an Eagle."
