🎅Tracking Santa Christmas Eve Day
🎅How it all began
It's almost that magical time when Santa will start his yearly trip around the world to be toys to all the good little boys and girls around the world. Have you ever tracked Santa on his big journey? Today on Christmas Eve Day, you and the kids can track Santa throughout the day.
Norad has been tracking Santa yearly for a very long time back to the 1950's.
I love tracking Santa on Christmas Eve Day. My husband has family in England and in Australia so its fun to see Santa visit family before he makes it over to our neck of the woods. Later in the evening, you can catch Santa as he starts making his way across America.
The Official NORAD Santa Tracker!
This is a big night for NORAD and tracking Santa started with the wrong number in Colorado. There was a Sears advertisement in the paper that said to call a listed number and talk with Santa. A child called the number, but the number printed went to a military base and it was a phone number only the President or a 4-star General would know. Oops!
Once the commanding officer figured out what happened, he decided to call in reports to first a local radio station to give kids an update as to where Santa was. The tradition grew to what it is today.
