Five PG Middle School Students Arrested

The Texarkana Texas Police say five Pleasant Grove Middle Schhol students were arrested this afternoon after turning themselves in to officers at the Juvenile Detention Center.

All were allegedly involved in an assault that occurred on a school bus that was returning from a basketball game in Paris, Texas on November 30. Police say charges range from Sexual Assault to Indecency With a Child.

The police department was notified by the mother of the 13 year old victim the day after the alleged assault. Authorities say new information on the case that came to light last week, did not ultimately refute the probable cause upon which the warrants were originally based so they say the arrests were justified.

all five students arrested are 13 and 14 years of age. Following their arrests today the students were placed in custody of the Bowie County Juvenile Probation Department.
