Great Events to Check Out in & Around Texarkana This Weekend June 2 – 4

It's the first weekend of June and the start of the summer vacation season. If you are looking for something to do this weekend we found a few events that will be worth your time to check out.

Farmers' Markets in Texarkana are Open!

We are truly fortunate to have two Farmers' Markets in Texarkana.

Gateway Farmers' Market located at 602 East Jefferson in Texarkana Arkansas is open 7 AM to Noon Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. This week they are expecting a variety of fresh locally grown vegetables. Also homemade baked goods, handmade crafts, homemade soaps, salsa, relish, pickles, sauces, jellies, plants and even USDA meats.

Texarkana Farmers' Market located at 500 North Stateline next to the post office. Open Saturdays 7 AM to noon Not only can you find fresh fruits, vegetables and crafts but starting at 9 AM you can join in on a free yoga class.

Law’s Chapel Methodist Church Benefit

This church, located at 4065 FM 2328 in Atlanta, Texas was damaged during strong storms back in April with a tree falling on the roof. Four States Homeschool Expo & Conference

This event takes place on Saturday, June 3 from 9 AM to 3 PM at Church on The Rock. There will be special presentations and more. Registration and more information at their Facebook Events page.

Domestic Violence Prevention Fundraiser

This Domestic Violence Prevention fundraiser will be this Sunday, June 4 from noon to 7 PM at 67 Landing. Bands will be playing throughout the day. There will also be a bake sale and auctions. Free admission. More details at their Facebook Events page.
