Historic Arkansas Museum Host Valentine’s Day ‘Friday Art Night’
Historic Arkansas Museum will host Valentine’s Day-themed 2nd Friday Art Night on Friday, Feb. 14, from 5 – 8 p.m., at 200 E. 3rd St., Little Rock. The highlight of the evening will include a special musical performance by Little Rock musicians Phillip Rex Huddleston and John Willis.
For the evening’s musical entertainment, Little Rock musicians Phillip Rex Huddleston and John Willis will perform “Dream Baby, a Sonic Valentine,” which will encompass music of “love and loss for Valentine's Day."
Arkansas artist Laurie Ament will have a trunk show of her lampwork glass beads and hand-felted scarves in the Museum Store during the event. Beverages and appetizers will be served in the Stella Boyle Smith Atrium, including Arkansas-made beer from Stone’s Throw Brewing and a special nonalcoholic cocktail, Cupid’s Bow, by Little Rock blogger Mocktail Mo. The evening is sponsored by the Historic Arkansas Museum Foundation, with special thanks to 107 Liquor. This event is free and open to the public.
Historic Arkansas Museum is open 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday, 1 - 5 p.m. on Sunday. Admission to the galleries and parking are free; tours of historic grounds are $2.50 for adults, $1 for children under 18, $1.50 for senior citizens. The Historic Arkansas Museum Store is open 10 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday, 1 - 4 p.m. on Sunday.
