A Model for Success: Hope Collegiate Academy’s Largest-Ever Sophomore Class
Here's some great news for the Hope Collegiate Academy. They now have the largest sophomore class they have ever had with 46 students. That number brings the total enrollment this year to 96.
Record-Breaking Growth
The Hope Collegiate Academy is a great opportunity for high school students to earn both a high school diploma and an Associate of Arts degree at the same time.

This is available through a partnership between the University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana (UAHT) and the Hope Public School District. It started in 2018 with 19 students and now has almost 100, making it one of the region’s most successful early-college programs.
Housed on the UAHT Hope campus, the program has become a model for what’s possible when schools and colleges work together, especially in underserved communities.

Statewide Recognition
Dr. Mikki Curtis, Dean of the Collegiate Academy, said in a press release,
Our students are capable of incredible things when given the right support and opportunity. Last year, our academies led the state in the number of high school students earning associate degrees.
Changing Futures in Hope
The program also saves families thousands of dollars in tuition and proves that rural schools can provide opportunities on par with larger districts.
Interim Chancellor Laura Clark said it best,
This is not just about degrees; it is about giving opportunity to our children to achieve more than they ever expected.
