Enter Your Dog in the Hope Watermelon Festival Dog Show

The 47th annual Hope Watermelon Festival is coming August 10-12,  at Fair Park. This year's theme is "Seed Spiitin' Good Time," and with that being said, The City of Hope Animal Shelter and Hope for Paws is proud to present the Watermelon Dog Show.

The event will take place on the Cricket Wireless stage on Thursday, August 10, at 7 PM, registration begins at 6:30 PM. If you have a pooch you would like to enter there is no entry fee but you are encouraged to bring dog food donations for the Hope Animal Shelter, said, K.D. Hicks, Hope Animal Control Officer.

All breeds of dogs are welcome small or large if they have a spunky personality, are fun and playful, or are just gentle, all dogs have something to offer. So, get them out of the dog house and onto the stage so they can be the top dog. Talk about Barking rights!

Special certificates and ribbons will be handed to the winners after the show. Now that's something worth barking about!
