It's National Chicken Wing Day. Whether you call them Chicken Wings, Hot Wings or Buffalo Wings everybody loves them. Spicy or sweet today is the day to celebrate Chicken Wings and there are some great deals around the Texarkana area to take advantage of today.

Who invented Buffalo Wings? According to Americastestkitchen.com, one story is they got their name from Buffalo in New York in 1964 by a woman named Teressa Bellissimo who owned the Buffalo's Anchor Bar with her husband. She whipped up the fast spicy late-night snack for her son and college friends. It was such a big hit that other bars and restaurants started serving them too.

But another story goes back a year earlier to 1963 and John Young at John Young’s Wings & Things inventing them but not with the spicy Cheyenne pepper flavoring we know and love.
