Whiskey River Country in Texarkana is having a big ol' party this Friday night, Aug. 26, as Texas artist singer/songwriter Jon Stork rolls into town.

A Beasley, Texas native who comes from a musical family picked up the guitar at an early age and has never looked back. While his family influenced him growing up it wasn't until he started listening to different styles of music and other artists that really transpired his music to what it is today. Artists like Robert Earl Keen, Pat Green, and Roger Creager are some of the artists that paved the way for Jon's own personal musical journey.

Like so many musicians Stork had to juggle several jobs and college just to make ends meet while performing at bars, festivals, and anywhere he could make a few bucks and get his music out there. After moving back to Houston he established himself as a songwriter and had quite a few songs he wrote while out on the road. In 2017, Stork released his debut EP, In Your Radio which landed him as a Top 10 artist on the iTunes country chart. "Rodeo Blues" was his first release followed by "One Night Stand" in 2018.

In 2019, Stork released his first full album, Radio Cowboy, and released the single "Facts and Lies" which went to #1 on Texas Radio and #2 on the Texas Music Charts for several weeks. Soon several more singles would be released with country chart success, "Another Town," and "If You Can Dance."

Fast forward to 2022 and Jon Stork is taking country music by storm with his newest single, "Blood." The future is looking bright and the sky's the limit for this small town boy from Texas.
