Chili Showdown: Self Creek’s 10th Chili Cook-Off Returns on Lake Greeson in Kirby, Arkansas

The teams are ready, and now it's almost time for the 10th Annual Self Creek Chili Cook-Off this Saturday, October 25, on beautiful Lake Greeson in Kirby, Arkansas, and you're invited. This will be a great day of delicious chili, fun and it is all for a great cause. This tasty event is only a short drive from Texarkana.

A Day Packed with Flavor, Music, and Friendly Competition

Cooking kicks off at 9 AM, and the fun for chili lovers starts at noon with music and chili sampling. Judging begins at 1 PM. I am excited and honored to be one of the judges! Every team will be cooking from scratch! Each team is asked to make at least four gallons of chili, so everyone will have a chance to try all the delicious chilis!

Once you find your favorite chili, you can vote for it with your dollars so the team can win the crowd-favorite People’s Choice Award. Whether you’re competing or just coming to sample the chili, you’ll want to be part of this fun and friendly showdown, rain or shine!

Great Food, Great Music, Great Cause

There will also be great items up for grabs in a fun and lively live auction.  All proceeds benefit the Self Creek Scholarship Fund. That means every bite and auction bid supports this wonderful cause.
