Liberty Eylau High School Student Selected as Texas All-State Musician
A big congratulations to Liberty Eylau High School student Hunter Rose. He's a member of the Liberty Eylau High School Varsity Choir and has been selected to perform with the Texas All-State SSC Choir in San Antonio on Saturday, February 11.
His performance will be during the 2023 Texas Music Educators Association Clinic/Convention.
Hunter Rose is receiving this honor from competing this year in the state of Texas at the District, Region, and Area levels.
According to a press release;
Hunter sings at school under the direction of Sherri Pickering who is a member of the Texas Music Educators Association, a 14,000+ member organization headquartered in Austin. This is Hunter's first time to perform as a member of a TMEA All-State organization. Hunteris the child of Cheri and Brett Rose.
Being selected as for All-State is the highest honor a Texas music student can receive. The competition began with over 70,000 students and was whittled down to 1,875 students through the process. Where only the top 2.6% of musicians who audition actually become All-State musicians. Congratulations on this wonderful achievement.
Expected at this clinic conference are over 30,000 people from Texas and around the world. There will be over 290 workshops and 100 performances. Plus there will also be 1,200 exhibit booths, making this the largest music educators convention in the country.
The Texas Music Educators Association was founded in 1921 and has 14,000 members dedicated to promoting excellence in music education.
