
Texarkana Issues Boil Water Order For Mandeville Residents
The City of Texarkana and the Arkansas Department of Health have issued a boil order notice for residents living in Mandeville, Arkansas.
Boil Order Issued Until Further Notice for Mandeville
According to a report from the Texarkana Water Utilities, the problem stems from low water pressure or no water due to a main water breakage. The boil water notice is temporary until the water main is repaired.
What Customers Need to Do to Stay Safe During the Boil Order
In the meantime, residents should boil their water before drinking. washing hands, face, brushing teeth, cooking, or any other kind of use of water. Children, seniors, and persons with weakened immune systems are particularly vulnerable to harmful bacteria, and all residents should adhere to the boil order.

The water should be brought to a vigorous rolling boil and then boiled for approximately two minutes to ensure that bacteria and other microbes are destroyed. Bottled water is also an option for human consumption purposes.

Once the boil water notice is no longer in effect, the public water system will issue a notice to customers that rescinds the boil water notice, like this notice.
