Mark Wills Replaces Marshall Tucker Band at Watermelon Festival
The 47th annual Hope Watermelon Festival is this weekend and we get word that due to unforeseen circumstances, The Marshall Tucker Band scheduled for this Saturday, August 12, has been canceled, and replaced by Country artist Mark Wills.
Mark Wills a country hitmaker from the late 90s to early 2000s had a string of Top 5 singles on the Billboard Country Charts including his #1 hit "Wish You Were Here," other hits included "I Do (Cherish You)," "Don't Laugh At Me," "Places I've Never Been," "Back At One, and one of my favorites "19 Somethin' which stayed on the charts for 6 consecutive weeks.
Wills albums went Gold and Platinum and he earned an Academy of Country Music Award for Top New Male Vocalist in 1998. Mark has also been very supportive over the years entertaining our troops overseas having performed in Iraq, Kuwait, Afghanistan, Korea, and Italy.
I've seen Mark Wills perform several times and I can personally say he puts on a fun upbeat and entertaining show.
