Michael Ray will headline the 47th Annual Kiamichi Owa-Chito "Festival of the Forest" on Saturday, June 22nd.

The Broken Bow Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce Michael Ray as this year's headliner. Ray is nominated for the ACM new male artist of the year and three of his singles were just certified gold! Entertainment chairman Brad Box, stated, "This is going to be one festival you do not want to miss".

Michael Ray is a small town Florida native that loves to tell a good story through his music. His 2015 self-titled debut album scored him two number one hits with "Kiss You in the Morning" and "Think a Little Less". His dynamic sophomore album, Amos, named after his late grandfather and produced by the legendary Scott Hendricks picks up where that record left off, combining the vintage sounds he absorbed growing up with a contemporary polish that puts him at the forefront of a class of fresh young voices.

"Michael Ray is a talented up and coming artist and we are excited to have been able to secure him for this year's Owa-Chito Festival", stated this year's festival chairman, Jia Johnson.

Kiamichi Owa-Chito is well underway for this year; they are currently signing up vendors and sponsors. Vendor forms are on the Kiamichi Owa-Chito website ready to be downloaded and filled out. Event entry forms will be available soon as well.

It's not too late to get involved in the festival, they have a few events that still need eager volunteers to chair them as well. Anyone interested can attend the Event Chair meeting that will be held April 4th at the Broken Bow Chamber at 5 pm. Kiamichi Owa-Chito is partially funded by the McCurtain County Tourism Authority and most of the area businesses who sponsor it.
